Treatment of Industrial and Oily Water

The different methods we use to treat industrial effluents comply with environmental regulations and allow for the treated effluent to be reused at the lowest possible cost.

Oily water of industrial origin can be treated by applying polymers and coagulating and flocculating chemicals, which destabilizes the colloidal particles and percipitation and separates the water for subsequent oxidation.

Waters with high organic content can be treated in a bioreactor with an ultrafiltration membrane system, which is capable of degrading high-organic loads rapidly and efficiently. The bioreactor is effective because the ultrafiltration membrane system also functions as a concentrator, strengthening the bacterial colony in the bioreactor.

The parameters in Article 10 of Decree 883 establish the necessary conditions to evaluate when a given volume of water, subject to treatment, is safe for final disposal.
